PARIS – Grammy-nominated hip hop luminary Travis Scott found himself in legal entanglements on Friday, as he was apprehended at the luxurious Georges V hotel in Paris for alleged violence towards a security guard, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office.
Authorities detained Scott, 33, after a confrontation in which the security guard attempted to intervene between the rapper and his own bodyguard. Prosecutors disclosed that a criminal inquiry has been initiated.
French media outlets have circulated reports suggesting that Scott was under the influence of alcohol during the incident.
Attempts by Reuters to contact Scott’s representatives for comments proved futile.
This recent event follows Scott’s June arrest in Miami Beach, Florida, where he faced charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing after an altercation on a yacht, as reported by local police.
