“I’ve spoken with several individuals and can confirm that he was taken into custody by the FBI around 2 p.m.,” Mendelson shared with a WTTG reporter. “I’m eager to learn more to grasp the situation. … You all know as much as I do.”

White gained national attention in March 2018 when he implied that Jewish financiers were manipulating the weather. He made the claim while filming himself driving through snowy downtown Washington, discussing what he termed “climate manipulation.”

“D.C. keeps talking about, ‘We’re a resilient city,’ and that’s based on the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can fund to take over cities,” he stated in the now-deleted video. “Be cautious.”

The Rothschilds, a European Jewish banking dynasty descended from Mayer Amschel Rothschild, have long been the target of antisemitic conspiracy theories, including allegations that they control global financial institutions and orchestrate world events for their gain.

Initially, White stood by his remarks, stating, “The video says what it says,” but he later issued an apology to the Jewish community.

Additionally, White drew criticism for a 2013 tweet in which he expressed admiration for Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, a figure known for his antisemitic views. White noted that he was “honored” to share a birthday with Farrakhan and expressed respect for his “intelligence, will, & boldness.”

In 2018, White faced further scrutiny after reports surfaced that he had donated $500 to a Nation of Islam convention in Chicago, where Farrakhan made disparaging remarks about “powerful Jews” and other inflammatory comments.
