Donald Trump indicates he may debate Kamala Harris:

On Monday, Donald Trump appeared to retract his previous promise to debate Vice President Kamala Harris expressing doubts about the importance of the event and stating that while he will likely participate there are also reasons not to.

During an interview with Fox News Channel on Monday night, Trump was questioned repeatedly about agreeing to debate Harris before eventually giving a less firm response than he had in the past few days.

The former Republican president was excited to participate in a debate with President Joe Biden, who was the Democratic nominee, after continually implying that Biden was not mentally fit for the role of president.

However since Biden exited the race and Harris emerged as the likely Democratic presidential nominee Trump has been raising doubts about the conditions of the initial debate he had agreed to with Biden. He proposed that the Sept. 10 debate on ABC News be relocated to another network referring to ABC as “fake news.”

Trump was asked in a phone call with reporters last week if he would agree to debate Harris at least once. He replied “Definitely, without a doubt.” “I would like to” and expressed the need to discuss.

During Monday’s interview, Laura Ingraham continually asked Trump if he would agree to a debate.

I wish to engage in a debate. However, I can also state this. Everyone is familiar with my identity. “And now everyone is aware of her identity,” stated Trump.

Eventually Trump declared, “Yes, I will likely end up debating.”

He continued speaking for a minute, stating that all debates should take place before early voting begins in states, then said “I believe we should, but there are also arguments against it.”

Trump has previously missed debates such as all the 2024 Republican presidential primary debates. After indicating that the timing was too early, he declined to join in later expressing doubt about the venue of another debate, and ultimately stating he would not take part in any of the debates.

The Republican candidate tried to explain remarks he made at a conservative event reassuring Christians that they will not need to vote once he is elected.

He encouraged Christians who he believes have low voter turnout, to vote “just this once” and assured them they wouldn’t have to do it again.

In a span of four years, he confidently stated “It will be repaired and everything will be okay.” He assured his lovely Christians that they wouldn’t need to vote again.

He then said shortly after “You won’t have to vote again for another four years.” We’ll make sure it is repaired so well that you won’t need to vote.

Democrats and others were concerned by the remarks, pointing out Trump’s tendency to use authoritarian language his previous statement about becoming a dictator on “day one,” and his actions following the 2020 election where he rejected the results and tried to overturn them.

Different justifications were provided by his campaign and fans for Trump’s remarks, and Ingraham pressed him to elaborate on his intentions.

I am explaining to them why they do not vote. ‘You always avoid voting.’ This time, make sure to cast your vote. I will fix the nation. You will no longer be required to participate in voting. “I don’t require your vote,” declared Trump.

Ingraham inquired if he was suggesting that Christians won’t have to vote for him since he will only serve four years in office.

Trump began his response by discussing the voting rates of Christians and gun owners, but Ingraham cut in to ask him to clarify.

“Do not be concerned about what lies ahead.” Make sure to cast your vote on November 5th. Following that, there is no need to be concerned about voting any longer. I am not concerned because we will improve the country, it will be repaired, and soon we will not require your vote as we will have overwhelming support. “It’s fine if you no longer wish to vote” Trump mentioned.

Last month at another Christian event, Trump expressed the same sentiments regarding the low voting turnout of Christians and urged them to get involved in the election.

“You are not required to vote for the next four years, all right?” Do not vote in four years. “I’m indifferent,” he stated.
