The newlyweds are reportedly planning a formal wedding celebration at the beginning of August at The Hollywood Museum.
The “Dukes of Hazzard” luminary, aged 64, and Sorvino, 57, united in matrimony in the vibrant city of Las Vegas this past Tuesday, both having endured the profound loss of their spouses within the last biennium.
The newlyweds are orchestrating a grand nuptial celebration, anticipated at the dawn of August at The Hollywood Museum, the very locale where their paths first converged.
In a May 2024 appearance on the “Grace Begins” podcast, Schneider divulged the burgeoning romance with Sorvino, extolling the “remarkable” year they’ve shared, notwithstanding the “arduous” time following the demise of his previous wife, Alicia Allain, in February 2023.
“Providence brought together a widower and a widow who understand each other’s sorrow,” John Schneider expressed, John Schneider voice thick with emotion. “I was on the brink of surrendering, relinquishing everything,” he confided, as he fought back tears.
“Just when the mere thought of dating or holding another’s hand felt abhorrent, I encountered this enchanting Dame over there,” John Schneider remarked, gesturing off-screen towards Sorvino.
Schneider characterized their love story as nothing short of a “miracle” that had indeed salvaged his life.
The television icon herself had suffered the loss of her former husband, Paul Sorvino, in July 2022. The “Goodfellas” star, thrice-married, passed away from natural causes at the venerable age of 83.
Their union spanned eight years until his passing.
“Our hearts are shattered,” Dee Dee lamented in a statement at the time. “There will never be another Paul Sorvino; John Schneider was the love of my life and one of the finest performers to ever grace the screen and stage.”
Despite her burgeoning relationship with Schneider, Dee Dee continues to frequently share tributes to her late husband online.
