Olympic medal count today: ALSO Remaining Olympic Events

The U.S. women’s basketball team is just one win away from securing its eighth consecutive Olympic gold medal. The only obstacle left in their path is France, the host country. The gold medal match is scheduled for Sunday at Bercy Arena. The U.S. women’s basketball team has not lost an Olympic game since 1992, making them the clear favorites.

In addition to basketball, the U.S. women’s volleyball team is also competing for gold. They are aiming for their second straight Olympic title in a match against Italy. Meanwhile, the U.S. men’s water polo team will compete for the bronze medal in a matchup against Hungary.
