The main event showcased a rematch years in the making, as Leon Edwards defended his welterweight title against Belal Muhammad. The co-main event featured Tom Aspinall defending the interim heavyweight championship on home soil against Curtis Blaydes.

UFC Welterweight Championship — Leon Edwards (c) vs. Belal Muhammad: Result

Leon Edwards’ impressive eight-year unbeaten streak came to an end.

Belal Muhammad came out aggressively, securing a takedown just 20 seconds into the fight. Edwards managed to recover, landing some body shots, but Muhammad countered with his own strikes and another takedown, dominating the opening round. The second round saw Edwards continue to struggle as Muhammad maintained control with multiple takedowns against the cage.

Edwards turned the tide in the third round, securing a ground position and attempting a rear-naked choke on Muhammad, holding a strong leg lock for nearly the entire round. In the fourth round, Edwards landed some strikes, but Muhammad regained momentum, setting up a decisive final round.

In Edwards’ corner, the urgency was clear—they needed a finish in the fifth round. However, Muhammad kept his composure, securing another takedown and controlling the pace of the fight. Despite Edwards mounting some late offense and causing a cut on Muhammad, time ran out before the round ended.

Belal Muhammad secured the victory by unanimous decision, becoming the first fighter to defeat Leon Edwards since 2015. Muhammad celebrated emotionally, reveling in his monumental achievement.
